Widow in Mesa care center celebrates return of stolen rings

Scheryl Silvio’s left ring finger was beginning to turn a little blue. A nearby employee of the Fellowship Square assisted living center in Mesa asked her if she wanted to remove the rings that had been placed on her finger minutes earlier.

Silvio recoiled.

The engagement and wedding rings were back on her finger for the first time since 2013, when a caregiver stole them from her room.

Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich had knelt next to Silvio on Tuesday morning and put the rings on her fingers.
